Accessibility Statement
Effective April 30, 2026
Law Ledgers is committed to making lawledgers.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology. This page describes the standard we work toward, what we have done, and how to reach us if something on the site isn’t working for you.
1. Conformance target
This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We treat WCAG AA as a floor, not a ceiling, and welcome feedback when we fall short.
2. What we’ve done
- Semantic HTML structure with landmark regions (header, main, footer) on every page.
- Skip-to-main-content link for keyboard users.
- Visible focus styles on interactive elements.
- Sufficient color contrast against the cream and dark backgrounds in body copy and primary controls.
- Descriptive link text and form labels;
aria-labelwhere the visible text is an icon only. - Native
<dialog>element for the team profile modal so focus is trapped, Escape closes, and the backdrop is announced as inert. - Responsive layout that works at 320 px viewport widths and up; type scales with the viewport.
- Reduced-motion friendly: there are no autoplaying videos, looping animations, or scroll-jacking effects.
3. Known limitations
We test on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, on iOS and Android. Older browsers, very old assistive technology versions, or non-standard configurations may not render every component perfectly. The hero photographs are decorative; if your screen reader announces them, please let us know which page so we can review the markup.
4. Third-party content
Some pages link to third-party resources, such as bar association reports. We do not control the accessibility of those external sites and cannot guarantee they meet WCAG AA. If you encounter a barrier on a linked site, please tell us and we will look for an alternate source.
5. Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website, or if you need information from this site in a different format (large print, plain text, or audio), please contact us. We aim to respond within five business days.
